Former Transnet group CEO Gama, co-accused granted bail

JOHANNESBURG – Former Transnet Group CEO Siyabonga Gama has been granted R50,000 bail.

He and four others have been charged with fraud, corruption and money laundering.

The charges relate to tenders Transnet awarded to Regiments Capital and Trillian.

There is also alleged theft by Regiments Fund managers from the Transnet Second Defined Benefit Fund.

The Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court has postponed the matter to 13 July.
